Privacy Policy
Short version: the calculators run in your browser, and MaterialYards does not collect the numbers you enter.
What we collect
We do not collect personal information through the calculators. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment forms. The sizes, depths, prices, and other numbers you type stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
What stays on your device
To save you retyping, a calculator can remember the price and price unit you last entered for each material. This is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not sent to us, and it is not a cookie. Clear the price field to remove it, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., to count visits and see which pages are used, so that we can improve the site. A small script from Cloudflare runs on each page and sends Cloudflare the address of the page, the page you came from (the referrer), your browser and device type, the country estimated from your IP address, and technical measurements such as how long the page took to load. It does not send the measurements, prices, or other numbers you enter.
Cloudflare says the service does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. The reports we see are totals, such as visits per page or per country, and do not identify individual visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies and advertising
MaterialYards does not set cookies of its own, and it does not show advertising at this time. If that changes, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
Hosting
MaterialYards is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare handles that information under its own privacy policy.
If you write to contact@materialyards.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to improve the site. We do not sell them or share them for marketing.
Sale of information
We do not sell personal information.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Links to other sites
Pages link to manufacturers, universities, and government agencies as sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Changes
When this policy changes, we will update the date at the bottom of this page.
